Inspired by the most efficient fighter pilot of World War I, Manfred von Richthofen AKA The Red Baron, who gained widespread fame from his scarlet-coloured liveries, audacious flying style and ruthless effectiveness.

His infamous moniker is a constant reminder of his tactical genius and flying skills, and that still echoes throughout history, and has been depicted in countless books, films, songs, comic strips and television programs.

The long list of kills that made him the original Ace of Aces, the Baron’s legend only grew after he took command of a German fighter wing known as the Flying Circus. In the summer of 1917 he was outfitted with the Fokker Dr.1 triplane, the distinctive, three-winged machine that would become Richthofen’s most famous aircraft.

After numerous close calls, his cockpit career was cut short in April 1918. The records tell us that he was shot down in a dogfight against an Allied squadron at Vaux-sur-Somme, France.

Despite a rough initial reception by the Alfisti crowd, the 90's Superturismo legend 155 V6 Ti made a name for itself on the track and from there to every Alfisti's heart. Speaking of cuore sportivo, can you name a better sounding V6?

Alfa Romeo has been stepping on the gas for over 100 years with no signs of slowing down. No other brand has more motorsport wins and, in the process of becoming a racing legend, it even gave us Enzo Ferrari (wait, what?).

Initially somewhat of an ugly duckling to the Alfisti crowd - although easily the best looking sedan of its generation - the 155 made a name for itself where it really counts a.k.a. motorsport and from there to every Alfisti's heart. Surely it didn't hurt that the 12000 rpm V6 Ti is widely considered to be the best sounding engine of its kind - get your notepads out, F1 engineers.

The 155 V6 Ti screamed its way to victory, amassing 38 wins across the Italian Superturismo, DTM and BTCC touring championships, besting its AMG 190E and BMW M3 rivals on many occasions while driven by Turismo legends like Nicola Larini and Alessandro Nannini and even Fisichella briefly in 1996, the last season before the newer 156 took over.

Considered the world's first supercar, the Miura was groundbreaking in more ways than one: from an unexpected rear mid-engine, transversely mounted, to its beautiful and timeless body design.

Although the Miura's body and performance were its primary highlights, the
use of a rear mid-engine configuration was a game-changer, giving it supercar status.

The Miura’s success was not without controversy - some claim it was designed not by Lamborghini’s team, but by Giugiaro while he was employed at Bertone.

Oh, and the entire project was carried out without Ferruccio Lamborghini's knowledge (as he opposed it), until almost the very end.

The Miura you can see at the Caramulo Museum is a special one – for its rare combination of grey exterior and dark leather interior, and for being one of the coveted 147 Super Veloce (SV) units that, in the early 70’s, left Sant’Agata’s factory.

This Official Collab with Museu do Caramulo pays tribute to, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular sports cars ever built.
