Considered the world's first supercar, the Miura was groundbreaking in more ways than one: from an unexpected rear mid-engine, transversely mounted, to its beautiful and timeless body design.

Although the Miura's body and performance were its primary highlights, the
use of a rear mid-engine configuration was a game-changer, giving it supercar status.

The Miura’s success was not without controversy - some claim it was designed not by Lamborghini’s team, but by Giugiaro while he was employed at Bertone.

Oh, and the entire project was carried out without Ferruccio Lamborghini's knowledge (as he opposed it), until almost the very end.

The Miura you can see at the Caramulo Museum is a special one – for its rare combination of grey exterior and dark leather interior, and for being one of the coveted 147 Super Veloce (SV) units that, in the early 70’s, left Sant’Agata’s factory.

This Official Collab with Museu do Caramulo pays tribute to, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular sports cars ever built.

The Lancaster had a very tough and durable airframe. It gained a reputation for consistently being able to fly the return journey on only two engines, and even on a single engine for short distances. The standard crew consisted of seven men. The pilot, the flight engineer (there were no controls on the other cockpit seat, so there was no co-pilot), the bomb aimer (who doubled as an operator for the nose turret gun as needed), the navigator, the wireless operator for comms, the 360° mid-upper gun turret operator, and finally the rear gunner. The initial underside turret was quickly dropped, considered pointless for being too slow and hard to operate in order to keep a target within its sights.
